We are a varied cross-section of gay men from different backgrounds, professions, and locations across the UK. Our grassroots organisation focuses on upholding our rights and freedoms, and fighting homophobia.
We first came together in 2021 as a group of friends and colleagues who were alarmed at the rise of a new form of homophobia.
We were formally incorporated in April 2022, and in the Autumn of 2021 we responded to the Conversion Therapy Bill consultation.
We are a varied cross-section of gay men from different backgrounds, professions, and locations across the UK. We volunteer our time and are a completely grassroots organisation.
Our primary goal is the upholding of homosexuality as a sexual orientation as defined by the Equality Act 2010 Section 12.
We engage with law and policy makers to ensure that the rights and needs of gay men are heard. We produce educational material and hold events.
Hassan, Dennis and Jonathan are the three directors of GMN.

Hassan is a scientist and project manager in early-stage drug discovery. He became concerned by the replacement of sex with gender in biological sciences and mainstream scientific publications. While following this trajectory, he saw the rise of a new form of homophobia and, having never been an activist, felt the need to rearticulate a positive vision for being a gay man.

Dennis Noel Kavanagh is a non-practising barrister and legal commentator specialising in criminal and equalities law. He is a gay rights activist who has worked in the legal sector for over 20 years.

Jonathan, 61, came out relatively late in life. He is a Welshman based in South Wales where he is European Sales Director for an IT company. Jonathan's own struggles with internalised homophobia motivate him to fight against the forces and conditions that instil this within gay youth.
The team also includes creative talents, artists, lawyers, solicitors and advisors.

Known to the world as Mr Menno, Menno Kuijper is GMN's Director of Communications and a Dutch-born satirist, songwriter and content creator based in the UK. With two decades of experience in branding, copywriting and campaigns for major consumer brands, he brings sharp creative firepower to the fight against homophobia — turning the absurdities of gender ideology into biting satire and songs that reach audiences our press releases never could. Having once been sympathetic to the gender-identity movement himself, Menno's own journey is what convinced him it is fundamentally at odds with gay rights, and that experience now fuels his work for gay men everywhere.
We have created a manifesto in point form to be as transparent as possible about our intentions as a grassroots organisation. We volunteer our time to help other gay men navigate contemporary homophobia — defending our spaces, and opposing the constant threat of conversion therapy.
